Falling for Autumn is a narrative commercial created for Switzerland Tourism featuring Roger Federer and Mads Mikkelsen. The film won the Grand Prix at JWTFF and Bronze at the New York Film Festival.
Set in the Swiss Alps during peak autumn, the film follows a crew waiting for actor Mads Mikkelsen to return to set as he disappears into nature to “connect with Swiss autumn”. What begins as a humorous production delay gradually turns into an unexpected invitation to experience the season with all the senses.
A campaign that turns the act of filming itself into the story, inviting audiences to slow down and discover Switzerland through autumn light, sound, and texture.
Falling for Autumn was directed by Sam Larsson and Patrik von Krusenstjerna of Traktor, and produced by Mcqueen Films for Switzerland Tourism.
Samuel Laprand worked as Production Assistant on the project, contributing to the entire preproduction of the film and to on-set coordination during the shoot in the Maloja region of the Swiss Alps. Filming in Maloja meant working within one of the most cinematic landscapes in Switzerland, where the autumn light and remote locations shaped the visual identity of the campaign.
