Privacy Policy

This privacy declaration applies to citizens and legal residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Introduction

This document explains how Focusline Production processes personal data collected through https://focusline.ch. The publisher is committed to compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), in force since 1 September 2023, and with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors based in the European Economic Area.

The processing of personal data is governed by the following principles:

The personal data processed by Focusline Production falls into the following categories.

Contact via email or web form

Categories of data: first name and surname, email address, phone number (if provided), message content, IP address.

Legal basis: consent of the user, and where applicable the performance of pre-contractual measures requested by the user.

Retention period: data is retained for the duration of the correspondence and then archived for a reasonable period to allow follow-up and to comply with applicable Swiss limitation periods.

Booking via Cal.com widget

Categories of data: first name and surname, email address, scheduling preference.

Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures requested by the user.

Retention period: data is retained until the end of the business relationship.

Site analytics

Site analytics are provided by Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity), acting as data processors. The website also uses Independent Analytics, a self-hosted, cookieless tool that processes aggregated visit data on our own server and shares nothing with third parties.

Categories of data: IP address, browser data, approximate location at country level, and, for Microsoft Clarity, interaction data such as mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling used to produce aggregated session replays.

Legal basis: consent of the user, given through the cookie banner on the first visit.

Retention period: data is retained according to the retention settings configured in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

Cookies

The website uses cookies and related technologies. A full description of each cookie, its purpose, and its expiration is available in the Cookie Policy.

Disclosure practices

Personal data may be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • where required by Swiss law or by a court order;
  • in response to a request from a law enforcement authority, within the limits permitted by law;
  • where the website or the underlying business is acquired, merged with, or transferred to a third party, in which case data may be transmitted to professional advisors and to the new owners.

Google and Microsoft may not use data collected through Google Analytics for any other Google service.

Security

Focusline Production applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to limit the risk of misuse, loss, or unauthorised access to personal data. Access to the data is restricted to those who need it for legitimate purposes. Security measures are reviewed at regular intervals. The same standard is expected from any processor handling personal data on behalf of Focusline Production.

Third-party websites

This privacy policy does not apply to third-party websites linked from focusline.ch. Focusline Production cannot guarantee how external operators handle personal data and recommends that users consult the privacy policy of any third-party site before using it.

User rights

Under the FADP and the GDPR, users have the following rights in relation to their personal data:

  • Right to information: the right to be informed of why data is collected, what happens to it, and how long it is retained.
  • Right of access: the right to obtain a copy of the personal data held by Focusline Production.
  • Right to rectification: the right to ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected.
  • Right to erasure: the right to ask for personal data to be deleted, subject to applicable legal retention obligations.
  • Right to restriction of processing: the right to ask Focusline Production to restrict processing in defined circumstances.
  • Right to data portability: the right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used format and to transfer it to another controller.
  • Right to object: the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, unless overriding grounds justify the processing.
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, as set out in the next section.

Filing a complaint

Users who consider that the processing of their personal data does not comply with the law may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
