Chemin de croix is a narrative music film created for artist Swift Guad. Inspired by the raw and introspective lyrics of the track, the film follows a man drifting through a night of inner turmoil. As a violent storm rises around him, the line between reality and hallucination begins to blur.
Caught between escape and confrontation with himself, the character is forced to face the chaos within before reaching a fragile moment of awakening.
A dark and atmospheric visual journey echoing the themes of struggle, escape, and redemption carried by the song. The film treats the music video format as a short narrative piece, building tension through character and weather rather than performance shots.
Chemin de Croix was directed by Pierre Daendliker and produced by Focusline Production, with Samuel Laprand serving as producer.
Pierre Daendliker brings a distinctive visual signature to the project, working in heavy contrast between shadow and light to match the song’s emotional weight. Producing a narrative music film at this level meant coordinating night shoots, weather effects, and the kind of atmospheric staging that turns a music video into something closer to a short film.
Focusline Production has collaborated with Pierre Daendliker on multiple narrative music projects, including the Nausicaa film La Panthère.
