Cookie Policy

This cookie policy applies to citizens and legal residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Introduction

The website https://focusline.ch uses cookies and related technologies, referred to collectively in this document as “cookies”. Some of these cookies are placed by Focusline Production and others by third-party services that have been integrated into the site. This document explains how each category is used and which cookies are set.

What are cookies

A cookie is a small text file sent with the pages of the website and stored by the user’s browser on the hard drive of a computer or another device. Information stored in a cookie can be returned to the server that placed it, or to the servers of third parties associated with that cookie, on a later visit.

What are scripts

A script is a fragment of code used to make the website function correctly and to allow interaction with users. Scripts are executed on the server hosting the website or on the user’s device.

What are web beacons

A web beacon, sometimes called a tracking pixel, is a small invisible element embedded in a web page or email. It is used to record that a page has been opened or that a specific action has taken place, by sending information back to the server that placed it.

Cookie categories

Functional or technical cookies

These cookies are required for the website to operate correctly and to remember choices made by the user, such as language settings or login sessions. Functional cookies do not require consent under Swiss and European law.

Statistics cookies

Statistics cookies provide aggregated information on how visitors use the website, so we can improve its structure and content. On this website these are Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They are set only after you accept through the cookie banner.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies are set by third-party platforms to measure how their embedded content performs and to support advertising on their own services. This website is configured to avoid them. Vimeo loads with Do Not Track enabled and sets no marketing cookies. YouTube loads in privacy-enhanced mode and sets nothing until you choose to play a video. The only marketing cookies that can appear are those YouTube sets if you deliberately play one of its videos, as described in the YouTube section below.

Cookies in use

This data is not shared with third parties.

Function: store actions performed on the site for editor functionality

Vimeo

Vimeo is used to embed and play video content hosted on the Vimeo platform. Every Vimeo embed on this website loads with Do Not Track enabled, which disables Vimeo’s analytics and tracking cookies. Playback is not affected. The only cookies the player sets are strictly necessary security cookies, placed by Vimeo’s content delivery network (Cloudflare) so the player can load safely and resist abuse. They do not track you and do not require consent.

For further information, see the Vimeo privacy policy.

YouTube

YouTube is used to embed video content hosted on the YouTube platform. Every YouTube embed on this website loads in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). In this mode nothing loads from YouTube and no cookies are set until you deliberately click to play a video. If you play one, YouTube and Google may set the cookies below at that point, regardless of your choice in the cookie banner, because the request goes directly to YouTube when you press play. If you would rather not allow these cookies, do not play the embedded YouTube videos.

For further information, see the Google privacy policy.

Functional

  • Name: cal.com session cookies
    Expiration: session
Function: maintain booking session state during reservation

Independent Analytics

This website also uses Independent Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that runs on our own server. It measures visits without setting any cookies and without sharing data with third parties. Because it sets no cookies, it requires no consent.

Consent

On a first visit, the website shows a banner explaining that it uses cookies for analytics and inviting you to accept or refuse. Strictly necessary and functional cookies are always active, as the website needs them to work and they do not require consent under Swiss and European law. Analytics cookies, namely Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, are set only if you accept. If you refuse, no analytics cookies are set. Cookies that a third-party video platform sets when you choose to play a video are described in the relevant sections above.

You can review or withdraw your consent at any time using the button below:

Enabling, disabling, and deleting cookies

Users can manage cookies directly in their browser. Most browsers allow cookies to be deleted automatically or manually, and offer settings to refuse cookies from specified sites or to display a warning before any cookie is placed. The help section of the browser explains how to apply these settings. If all cookies are disabled, some functions of the website may stop working as intended. If cookies are deleted from the browser, the consent banner will be shown again on the next visit.

User rights

Under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the GDPR, users have the following rights in relation to their personal data:

  • Right to information: the right to be informed of why data is collected, what happens to it, and how long it is retained.
  • Right of access: the right to obtain a copy of the personal data held by Focusline Production.

  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
